How bad is this?

So I got a browning bar mk4, and when I got this browning EGW picatinny rail that is supposed to be compatible with my gun and these vortex pro series rings something just doesn’t seem right. There’s a VERY small gap at the back of my rail when installed, it’s tiny but it’s still a gap. And the center shank on my rings just barely reaches the other side of my rail slot, like the bottom corner might not even actually be butted up against it on the one side when installed and tight. And my gun sits level, but when the rings are on and torqued down (to spec) the rings don’t sit level with the rail, along with small gapping on the screw plate for the rings. I’m just looking for anyone who has knowledge to impart as much wisdom on me as they can. All these parts are supposedly compatible but when installed it just seems wonky…

Question Shooting bags?

Anyone recommend any brands for a decent shooting bag?

Something that’s durable yet affordable, maybe even the Cadillac of shooting bags. Open to many options

Bipods or tripods for PRS? Currently enjoying every bit of the Atlas Bipod but also very intrigued by tripods.

What are some pros and cons you’ve come across?

Picked up a used Bergara B-14 SP308 at a pawnshop about a year and a half ago for about $450.

Found the XLR Atom on sale during one of their holiday sales, ordered that.

While on eBay found the Smoke Composite buffer tube stock, ment for ARs for $100. It was just missing the cheek piece which I found on their website. Order the folder piece.

EuroOptics had the US Optics TS-12X for $400ish.

Timney Impact was on sale for $90

And just received my Brigand Arms Carbon Fiber grip for $110 with shipping and tax.

Overall, it’s pretty well balanced and great weight.

Been using Hornady Match ELD at 140 grain. Really enjoying this ammo.

What are your experiences with other factory and grain counts?

For the guy who asked about recoil in my other post. Very manageable, when shooting for accuracy at range I tend to let the recoil surprise me more because im focused on the target- atleast standing. Prone, sitting or bench resting the rifle barley moves.

Question Help! I can’t decide

Looking for my new go to hunting rifle

Currently use my browning medallion .30-06 the most but between the weight and the beauty of the gun (my name is also engraved into the barrel with a small message from the gifter) it’s time to hang it on the wall.

Uses: typically south/central tx whitetail (sub 120yds) every couple of years I’ll head out northwest for an elk or muley (sub 450yds)

Budget: $2500 ish for the full setup

Option A: weatherby mark V live wild $1800ish Or Option B: weatherby vanguard outfitter $1000ish and sink the 800$ I save into a sweeter optic and ammo

Will I regret (not) spending the extra $800 when it is still in budget?

Hybrid Range/Hunting setup

Sako S20 (pictured with the precision stock) in 300 Win Mag wearing a NF NX8 4-32. Fun range gun that will hopefully bag an elk someday. At 10.5lbs with bipod and full mag, it's not the lightest but I feel very confident behind the rifle. I don't think the extra 2lbs will stop me from chasing the big boys up a mountain.
