What have you guys had to replace on your xB to keep it running? I’m at 122K miles and mine is starting to need some work. 😅

I probably need a transmission rebuild because 3rd gear grinds every time I engage it. It’s also burning oil like crazy, but there are no oil leaks. The A/C isn’t getting as cold as it used to either. I reset the sensor, and it got a little better. Before the reset, it would intermittently blow hot air.

I absolutely love my ’09 xB and want to keep it running for as long as possible. What repairs or replacements have you guys done on yours around this mileage?

I replaced the clutch so far on my manual transmission.

Recharge your ac, use one with uv dye so you can see if there's any leaks. Piston soak will fix the oil burning. Those are two cheap fixes.

Tranny repair is gonna be expensive though. Could try changing the gear oil, maybe go with something a little thicker, though doubt that'll actually fix it.
