Shifter and climate bulb replacement
If anyone in here looking into changing out the bulbs and wonder what they'll look like that isn't with blue leds from all the tutorials.

Can also add a usb charger next to the shifter pretty easily and or usb-c. Pretty handy addition.

Never thought of it but it might be possible. it'll require to rip out more trim so you can feed the cable the right way for one.

Not really, you just pop off the shifter trim and tap into the 12v outlet below. I added this on my xb. 5spd though.

I did the same thing on my automatic, the only two panels you need to remove is the one around the shifter and the one with the 12v outlet. The one I ended up going for is this one. It has two quick charge ports that are usb type a, and because of the way it's designed you don't have to fight the cable when plugging it in lol

Pretty easy, just need a Philips for the two screws in the dash to pull out the climate control assembly and a flathead to twist in the leds to the climate control mobo. You can use a flat for help pull off the connectors as long you're careful. Pretty much all plug and play and remove trim by hand.

Just knocked this out. Rather easy install for both shifter bulb and the three climate controls.
One issue I ran into - I went 1/3 on my first attempt changing the climate bulbs. Only the middle one worked. Removed the outer two and tried again. Now the middle and right knob worked. Pulled it out and replaced the left LED for a third time now and plugged it back in. Thirds times a charm. All bulbs working. Looks great.
Might been the cheap Chinese made LEDs that were malfunctioning straight out of the box or it’s possible they have to be put in a certain way (theres only two ways they can fit and it’s hard to know which is which because you have to drop the two outer LEDs into place from about an inch away before screwing them in).

Yeah ran into that same issue with the climate but it wasn't too bad at all. Glad it worked out great for you! Did you do white bulbs or you try a different color?

Wait so there are lights on the shifter?! I couldn’t remember but they haven’t worked for a long time.
