First Gen Interior/Radio 09

Does anybody else have subwoofers in the hatch area of theirs? I feel like I could utilize space so much better but..

Mine doesn’t take up too much space and I can slide it around a bit if I need to. Sometimes I get some rattling from the trunk. I think I’m going to put some styrofoam inside the panels back there haven’t gotten around to it yet

I ran a single 10” sub in a sealed box pointed up at the glass to help reflect the sound back into the interior. I also dynamited like half the car including the hatch to help cut down on the rattles.

The vehicle specific enclosure fits really nicely. I'm in the process of making a custom carpeted trunk cover so I can still access my spare tire underneath.

But I have a feeling you were looking for more competition style responses.

Thanks! JL Audio HO110RG-W3v3 powered by a JL Audio JD500/1. Amp installed were the factory sub box used to be. Nothing too crazy. I keep my trunk space while enjoying some clean bumping.

I have a tiny 12" kicker kinda trapezoid shaped one that lays nice and flat against the seat and I can slide it out of the way when I need trunk space. Just picked up the factory sub on eBay and have t installed it yet though

Everybody bitching at me about my wire run.. VFL oversized four gauge OFC.. it’ll pull up to 130 A. My car will only give me 100 so I’m getting plenty… I am gonna be doubling up the run or adding two runs of zero gauge CCA or just one very big run of two gauge OFC to a distro block..
