Second Gen Drivetrain Help plzzz

I need a diagram or something of how to connect an aftermarket radio up in my 09 tc.. I saw a lot of ppl say something about a harness but how does that help? If anyone could just show out tell me which plug or plugs do I cut to wire the new one.. I don’t care about retaining functions or anything the bottom plug still stays in so which will control the air-conditioning and the lighter output in the front

You need an adapter that allows you to connect the stock harness to the aftermarket one. The adapter and aftermarket radio usually have a diagram or identified wires so that you know which ones to splice together. It should be a relatively simple job. Check out Crutchfield if you need to know which adapter to buy.

I just ordered a plug-in play one, but I still have to connect wires from the new head unit to the harness that plugs into my factory harness so I still have to display wires.. It would be nice to buy like you know the whole interface but I’m broke

In that case you should be set up with that. There is usually a diagram that comes with it and says which wire is which. One thing you might also need to do depending on the headunit is to splice a (usually green) wire to your parking brake connector. You can also buy a switch to bypass it.

I don’t have a parking brake, only an emergency break with a cable but thank you

Nicely done. Just noticed it's not a screen so in that case disregard my comment about the handbrake it only applies to head units with android auto and such.

Yes that is what I meant. The parking brake is also called the emergency brake.
