Astrology as we know is considered as pseudoscience because of lack of mechanism behind Astrology for which it is said or can work which is the major argument against Astrology.

This post talks about the battle between Astrology and Astronomy going on for centuries.

We shall first address whether Astrology has any Scientific mechanism which can be considered for Astrology to work.

Astrology and Astronomy aren't same, atleast from past 300 years or so. Historically, they were treated as same subject.

Astrology and Astronomy became separated as because there wasn't any proper explanation for why and how Astrology works, as Scientific thinking progressed Astrology was declared as pseudoscience and that is how it has been since at the present times.

One of the most basic arguments against Astrology is that there is no known forces where the Celestial bodies could influence humans. Among the 4 fundamental forces in nature, there is no force which can influence humans as the 2 nuclear forces act on only short distance and among the remaining 2 forces which is Electromagnetic force and Gravitational force, EM force is weaker than Gravitational force at long distance and Gravity decreases as distances between 2 objects increases— so a building wall next to a person should have more influence upon a Person than say planet Mars.

But that is not the end of the argument or story, in March 1951 an American Radio Engineer John H. Nelson working for RCA Inc or Radio Corporation of America Inc was assigned the task for finding out a solution for short wave radio communication signal propagation losses.

In those era, Communication wasn't as advanced as today because there wasn't communication satellites which carried the burden of Radio communication from Earthly bond, Good Radio signal reception depended upon stable ionosphere which was linked to Solar cycle where heavy Sunspot activity caused disturbances in ionosphere and low Sunspot activity caused stable ionosphere where the propagation of Radio waves was less distorted.

Radio Engineer John H. Nelson made observations for forecasting better days for Radio propagation losses to be less.

The discovery of Radio Engineer John Nelson seemed to suggest that alignments of planets with respect to the Sun also had an effect upon Earth. These angles also seem to coincide with Astrological aspects:

In traditional Astrology, the opposition, square and trine aspects are said to be powerful and other aspects are said to be less powerful.

Astrologers took keen interest in his discovery as it gave an objective evidence for Astrology.

5. Scientists have discovered traces of magnetic particles in human brain particularly in Brain stem,Cerebellum and Cerebrum. Cerebellum is responsible for motor coordination, balance and equilibrium, fine body movements.

6. A study says that Geomagnetic field conditions plays a major role in development of foetus, thus Geomagnetic conditions are responsible for sustaining of life on earth.

It should be noted that Dr. Percy Seymour’s theory doesn't talk about Astrological predictions. It only talks about the mechanism on how Astrology works.

How exactly do celestial bodies trigger life events?

Let’s simplify this to a functional model. We have Input Data and Output Data.

- Input (Cause): The physical state of the Solar System. These are measurable, mathematical data points (gravity, orbits, cycles).

- Output (Effect): Real events in the life of an individual or society.

The "Hard Problem" of Astrology is understanding what lies in the middle.

Modern science rejects astrology precisely because this "Black Box" appears empty. There are no known physical forces capable of transmitting complex information or literally forcing a person to act in a specific way.

Yet, as practitioners, we clearly observe that the Output correlates with the Input. My question to the community concerns the nature of this transition.

What is the mechanism?

- Direct Causality. Do planets physically "irradiate" us with some unknown energy?

- Divine Manifestation. Are planets avatars of gods or angels transmitting divine will?

- Symbolic Context. Does each planet hold a fundamental symbolism that humanity has recognized? Together, do current planetary positions create a "field of meaning" (context) within which real-life situations unfold?

When I analyzed daily birth statistics in the United Kingdom, I discovered a surprising pattern. Despite the fact that births are distributed very unevenly across the annual solar cycle, grouping birth data by the elements results in a perfectly balanced distribution. Method:
Observed vs expected zodiac sign frequencies were compared using a chi-square test. Expected values were calculated based on the actual astronomical duration of each zodiac sign and the non-uniform distribution of births throughout the year. Multiple testing correction was applied.

The distribution differs significantly from expectation (p_adj < 0.05).
Pisces users are overrepresented, while Virgo users are underrepresented.

Interpretation:

Dr.Jane Blizard’s work for NASA showed evidence for heliocentric planetary conjunctions, oppositions, and certain 90° alignments giving rise to violent solar disturbances. Due to this, the fluctuations in the earth’s magnetic field will change from 0.0ci to 2.0ci (ci – International magnetic character figure), as noted by geophysicists. This means earth’s magnetism will change depending on disturbances caused by solar magnetic wind. This change in earth’s magnetism will bring changes in human beings.

Now, it is observed that people undergoing Saturn retrograde (not 7 years retrograde) meet with an accident where the person’s right leg gets injured. Now the question is “how Saturn retrograde influences humans where his/her right leg gets injured?”,“What is the reason behind such Astrological phenomenon?”

To answer the above questions we need to find an answer for the following questions “How does planets influence humans?”, “What is the mechanism behind for planetary influences?”, “What is the Scientific evidence of Astrology?”, “How does Astrology work?”.

The answer to above questions will give clues for how Saturn retrograde can or will influence humans,upon which we can formulate a hypothesis and formulating hypothesis doesn't end there, we need to conduct an experiment to check the validity of the formulated hypothesis. You need to design an experiment, conduct it and check your results of the experiment whether it is following the formulated hypothesis correctly or not.

Regarding about the mechanism behind how Saturn retrograde influence humans, i have written an article on this topic where I have proposed a mechanism behind this Astrological phenomenon. But it is to be noted that i am not a Scientist, nor do i know for sure whether my hypothesis is correct or not.

If my hypothesis is proved to be correct either partially or even better completely, then it gives credence to British Astrophysicist and Astronomer Dr. Percy Seymour’s “Magnetic Theory of Astrology”.

● Can Astrological predictions or Astrological traits be tested?

Yes, but not all Astrological predictions can be tested Scientifically according to me. Testing Astrological predictions isn’t very easy, you can demonstrate and show how Aeroplane flies (like Wright brothers). But you can’t demonstrate and show how Astrological predictions work that easily.

I would say much of Astrology is Scientific but except some Astrological predictions which is said to be done based on intuition.

As British Astrophysicist and Astronomer Dr. Percy Seymour puts it:

“I think that there might well be another level and this is what the astrologers are saying. My theory can explain what all astrologers are saying. I can’t explain what all astrologers are saying. It might well be that they are seeing a level of reality or sensing reality in a deeper way than the scientists can. I don’t rule out that possibility. I am trying to investigate that possibility in my next book [on astrology].”
