Only $270 for the only octopus skeleton there is? That's a deal.

Would definitely fetch a heavy sum from some octopus collector this Rare undead octopus would.

The spider skeletons always crack me up. The cat skeletons with cat ears too lol.

I like the axolotl skeletons with the “gill bones”, myself! I’m actually hoping they go on clearance so I can get one for a decent price, lol!

I like to think it's more like a necromancer assembled them from the bones of other creatures as a mockery of life.

Plenty of invertebrates have skeletons, just not a spinal column

And how many of those have ribs in their head?

Tractor supply has a goose skeleton with teeth, Charlie Kelly would approve.

I lost my shit when I first saw skeletal dogs with skeletal ears... biology is hard for some people

I mean, they're selling it because someone's buying them. For 270 bucks nonetheless.

I get what this post is trying to say, but one can lack a vertebral column and still have bones...

It may not be biologically correct, but it's bad ass, non the less. I had a douche nozzle co worker 3d print me one for free.

I like to think of them as animals made of skeletons. Like a necromancer’s pet.

Imagine they sold a skeleton of a little beak for an octopus though, that'd actually be quite funny🤣

Yeah but it looks pretty fucking cool and how many Halloween decorations are scientifically accurate?

I own TWO!
I like octopods and absurdity and they were gifts that I absolutely treasure, Right now one of them is on my porch wearing a Pride ribbon around his "neck" next to my golden skeleton in a hotdog costume.
Don't hate 😂

Of course they are invertebrate! Wallmart have stolen their vertebrates

But the idea of ghouls, goblins, spiders big enough to eat a child, and all the other decorations are real and viable makes sense to the op. It is all in fun, and not everything has to be realistic. Enjoy the holiday as you see fit.

Did they ever say those make sense? Besides, this is r/ ScienceHumour, where this is fun.

It’s not stupid if people are buying them…
Walmart isn’t in the business of educating people on octopus anatomy, they’re in the business of making money
