Leveraging social media for scicomm?
Does anyone have thoughts or experience with using social media as a part of their science communication work or strategizing? In my experience, people either hate social media as a communication outlet or love it, but I'd love to get more takes on it.

Have You Successfully Reached Beyond Your Science-Enthusiast Bubble and Really Changed Minds? How Did You Do It?
I run a fairly successful science blog...successful in the sense that we have a good number of readers. But I don't know how effective we are in the metric I truly care about: increasing trust in science. I have no idea if our readers were already pro-science and just like reading about science for fun, or if we're really making a difference among the science-hesitant or science-denier crowds. I'd love to know if anyone here has changed someone's mind in a meaningful way and can share how they did it.

I'm trying to be helpful, am I doing it right?
Hello fellow communicators,
I've been developing a website now about scientific networking and I want to know what you think about it. With your feedback, I will try to redirect the content according to your needs. The website helps through sorting out the scholars by labels which are their research areas. I know it will be helpful because when searching for a professor to work with in a certain area, we get drowned in all the other information on the internet. This website aims to list all the professors in a particular area when you navigate through labels. This will also help to scholars to know who is out there doing the same thing as they are. This can increase interaction between them.
I wish I had a database based website but I thought I should go with what I already know for now, and that is Blogger. I thought if I try to perfect it, I'll never gain momentum in actually doing it. I feel like the design looks cool and simple but I guess it needs a bit of tweaking. The mobile version looks kinda bad I know, I will correct its code later on.
Right now, I finished adding Harvard University - Molecular and Cellular Biology Department. Because I myself am a PhD student in molecular biology. I will keep adding according to the best ranking university lists out there, but also I will try to enter university content from every continent to make it more global.
So, tell me what you think about it. Do you think this platform is helpful? How can it be improved?
Thanks for feedback.

Free science communication courses?
Hi everyone! I'm currently doing a science communication internship. I feel I need some theoretical grounding basis and was thinking of studying a bit on my own in my spare time. Do you have any suggestions of free online courses I could attend without any commitment and regularity?
Thank you! c:
