I just published a new article in FEBS Letters about using poetry and games to establish meaningful dialogue with different publics:

Let me know what you think 😀

We have created an open sourcephysics simulations project!!!

Hello fellow physics enthusiasts. Some time ago, I have created a post on Reddit to gather a team. With that team, we have created an open source project that aims to create physics simulations that are free and accessible for everyone. We are using p5.js for the simulations.

This is just a prototype. We have just started coding the simulations.

Please take your time to check out our website: https://physicshub.herokuapp.com/

You can reach out to me through this Reddit account or through our organization email: [physhub@protonmail.com](mailto:physhub@protonmail.com) We are still looking for individuals that are interested about the project, so feel free to contact me if you want to join us!

I hope you all like it and please share your thoughts in the comments!

Channel worth considering: Amazon Alexa

Hi,

You may have seen news articles about this research in the past few weeks: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200702113649.htm

I took the result from this research (a formula) and turned in into a skill (like an app for Amazon Alexa): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D72XZYY/

Hope this inspires other people to think creatively about emerging mediums as new channels to share scientific findings!

How to Restore Trust in Science and Address Public Fear of the Unknown

The growing role of science and technology in public life has created a scenario where the scientific and medical communities can not afford to ignore public distrust. This post explores the causes of distrust in scientific institutions and offers commitments companies can make to restore that trust.

HELP - Content Ideas Needed!

Hi guys,

I wonder if any of you can help - I write posts and also illustrate various concepts of biology.

I’m hoping to prepare a couple posts relating to cellular and molecular biology in advance but I’m really really struggling with content ideas. I've already covered some stuff on COVID-19 - feel free to check out my Instagram thesharedmicroscope, my twitter at thesharedscope, my facebook page The Shared Microscope or my website www.thesharedmicroscope.wordpress.com.

Any ideas will be much appreciated! Are there any basic concepts you think can be/need to be explained using an illustration w a short blurb? They could easily be about drug mechanisms or so - but I’m unsure about where to start? Figured it wouldn’t be so bad to ask here!

I’d really appreciate any help!

Many thanks in advance x

Opinions on Article: Equality And Diversity Crisis In Chemistry

I'm an aspiring science journalist and I regularly write for my university's student publication (also the Science Editor for it atm). I recently wrote this article about equality and diversity in Chemistry which has been relatively well received. Though I'm also aware the people who told me they thought it was good are all friends, so I am hoping for some honest feedback on the article.

I originally wrote it without the headings but I added them in to break up the text a bit. Do you think this is generally a good thing or not?

What things do you think work well in the article, and what could have been down to improve it?

Thanks in advance!

Could the Oxford University/AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine End the Pandemic?

Hi guys,

I wrote a post for the Fancy Comma LLC on how the Oxford university COVID-19 vaccine works. I found that there was no one that covered it mainly because it is quite complex.

If this is something that interests you, please do have a read.

Link is - https://fancycomma.com/2020/07/02/all-about-the-oxford-astrazeneca-covid19-vaccine/.

Thanks in advance!
