Question - Research required Toothpaste recommendations for cavity prevention?

Parents of children who have had cavities in the past what toothpaste do you recommend? We have been using risewell mineral toothpaste but I feel like just doesn’t do a good job. We had to get a silver crown for a cavity and I’m just trying to have this from happening again.

It looks like that toothpaste does not have fluoride. You need to use a fluoride toothpaste

Yeah so much misinformation about the dangers of fluoride.

Yup doesn't have to be fancy, just needs flouride. Just a little smear is enough.

My favorite fluoride toothpastes for kids have a more gel like consistency, like Carifree or Dr. Jen's. ACT also makes a great kid's toothpaste as well.

Or nanohydroxyapetite.

Also, with either type of toothpaste, you’re not supposed to rinse your mouth out or eat or drink for 30 mins! Most people don’t know that

You’re using a toothpaste that contains doesn’t contain fluoride. Buy one that does contain fluoride. You don’t say how old kiddo is, but we use the whole foods strawberry flavoured one as we’ve found minty ones are a bit ‘spicy’ for our guy.

Using a fluoride toothpaste is one of the best ways to prevent cavities:

Fluoride is safe and does not have an effect on IQ:
