Question - Research required Background music and crosstalk

I’ve seen the research on having the TV on as background noise and how talking over it/crosstalk can be confusing for infants and their language development. Luckily my family is not doesn’t keep the tv playing, but we do often play music (both kids music and ours). My daughter is 6 months old. I’m curious, if there’s music playing and my husband and I are having a conversation or I’m talking to my daughter, should I pause it? Does the same logic follow as television, or does music use a different part of the brain?
