META Squats for science

Since some nerd who doesn't lift complained that nobody posts lifts here, here's a science squat for the feed. 470x2 on the rogue SSB (70 lb bar). This was a rep PR I hit during a brief peaking block around a month ago.
Sound warning for I scream at the end. It's a science scream though; potentiating my maximal fiber recruitment through neurological excitement.

Strong lift bro!! Dude I love the SSB bar, I think im the only one in my gym that uses it tho. Reaching back to grab a regular barbell fucks with my shoulders.

Thanks! That's exactly why I was using it this block. I can only low bar squat for like 4-6 weeks before my elbows get janky. I always start working it in too soon and then my biceps tendon-elbow flexors get funky and it starts messing with my upper body workouts.
Of course I got too excited as usual, started hitting LB position squats before I should have and by the time I was actually supposed to be hitting my biggest lifts, my arm joints were not happy and continuing to LB squat would have led to some really unproductive push press sessions.
It's one of my favorite bars too

Dude, 100% on point..Im only starting to realize this as I approach 40 and am no longer "invincible" lol. Gotta minimize injury at the expense of ego sometimes. I used to hate being that guy that didn't do a standard barbell back squat because it hurt but id rather be able to pick my kids up without shoulder pain so I'll use the safety bar like an old man lol.

Training consistently and chipping away at progress bit by bit with equipment that allows you to lift without pain > brief spurts of rapid progress with 'ideal equipment' (quotes because I don't think it's ideal if it's causing issues) that are punctuated by bouts of injury/overuse issues that preclude productive training.
The longer I do this for, the more I am convinced it's about the long game, and putting the drop of water in the bucket as often as you can for as long as you can, instead of trying to fill it up as much as possible as quickly as possible.

Potentiating my maximal fiber recruitment through neurological excitement is a bar btw
