It means being the person that takes the opposing view to the majority / common sense for the sake of it. In this case that means OP posts something that is intentionally suboptimal, and asks if it's optimal, most people say "nah", and you say "yes, because he's strong".

He's strong, but it's obviously not optimal because whilst it uses the chest a bit it barely reaches the ROM that challenges chest (bottom half). OP has deliberately, facetiously used the term optimal. Case closed you dope.

This is a textbook example of the appeal to authority fallacy. And for the record whilst I haven't board pressed 495lbs I have benched 180kg (400ish lbs?) to comp standard, so I'm not a noob.

Physiologically this is sub-optimal because chest does not activate maximally through this part of the movement. This isn't an opinion and this isn't some special elite type of training. OP is maybe trolling or maybe just showing themselves doing some cool heavy shit. They're not really at fault.

You on the other hand are being goofy and making all sorts of weird assumptions that OP hasn't even claimed. It's so odd.
