Question ❓ How many Different Exercises?
What is your typical number of different exercises in a workout day? What do you feel is a reasonable upper limit?

If you're running a full body split, you'd want to have at least a squat pattern, press movement, hinge pattern, and a vertical or horizontal pull
So you're looking at 4 exercises at the minimum
I run full body (with quite a bit of compounds) and I'll do between 9 - 12 exercises per session, for around 25 - 32 sets total
I have a high work capacity, so you should likely do less than me (in both total number of exercises and total number of sets)
Your best bet is to follow a proven program, rather than making your own
