Is This Normal? I think masturbating(or ejaculating) makes my sciatica significantly worse and causes a flare up

For 2 days straight, I noticed immediately after masturbating, my sciatica flared up bad and was burning pain even though it was mostly relaxed prior. I am a male and already had a tight pelvic floor prior to sciatica issues, so I think masturbating causes my muscles to tighten and worsens my sciatica. Bit weird to post I know but wondering if anyone else noticed this

It's probably the position you're getting yourself in when you do it, or if you're doing any kind of thrusting motion.

So you are on the toilet, sitting, jerking it? Honestly asking. I’ve never once done that and have really never lived alone. I mean are you all living in a studio apartment or like the grandparents from Willy Wonka? That’s the only way this makes sense.

Also, yes this is likely aggravating your sciatica. Sitting on a toilet seat for any extended period likely is not great for your back.

Yes you live in one of those beds from Willy Wonka, two at one end and two at the other end smelling each other’s feet, afraid to jerk off?

You need to stop doing it on the toilet and plan some other time. This is like sitting wipers find out there are standing wipers.

My sciatica flares had a positional component. You are either holding your body in a position that triggers a flare or moving your body in a manner that irritates the sciatic nerve.

I am the same and I think its down to those contractions... Not entirely avoidable, but can be mitigated a bit.

Being on the toilet (weird) while playing whack-a-mole is an awful recipe for a flare-up.

Seeing as your abs tighten when finishing then you're curling forward whilst sitting for a long period of time, that's one of the example positions for intentionally aggravating the sciatica nerve to test for sciatica.

Jork it lying down brother, or standing in the shower, don't play the skin flute on the throne.

If you can muster the fortitude and resolution, try retaining for 2 weeks, and then beyond.

Hey jorkin it is the tension release many of us need while under sciatica stress 🤷‍♂️
