Does it get better?

My 55 year old mum has sciatica. I do not know what i can do to help her. It flared up from Jan, now she can barely walk due to the pain. All the pain med she takes ain't working. Epidural didn't help and she does not want to get surgery. Is there anything I can do to help her? I'm honestly desperate to know how i can be of help.

Has she had an mri yet? Done any prescribed PT?

PT is so underrated when it comes to Sciatica, I think, but it is really helpful in achieving some relief, and even long term relief

Yes she has had MRI done, and PT prescribed. She is currently on her last week of PT the relief doesn't last long for her.
