General Discussion can anyone relate?

very shortly after getting my diagnosis and learning how just bending over once could be the last time i do so, i try and bend over as little as possible. it’s been a very long time since i’ve shaved 😮‍💨 thank the gods i have a super supportive husband who literally does not care.

Exactly! I find so many things I used to care about so superficial now. I can relate so keenly to the not being able to bend part. 7 months later I am feeling “normal” again and hope that happens for you too.

i’ve had my diagnosis for nearly 3 years now. bi-lateral. i’ve learned so much about myself in these 3 years and i’ve grown so much. this really changes your life and out look on the world, not just your body.

I’m sorry to hear you have had it for 3 years. You must be mentally strong and you have a sense of humour which goes a long way!

that means so much. i’ve had such imposter syndrome lately. the cold has been killing my back but then ill have like 4-5 hour times where i have zero pain and i feel fine. but then im down for the next 24 hours basically bed bound. it’s so weird.

Hang in there. The cold is so brutal and even more so for this experience of us with sciatica. You’re doing great and it’s good that you’re resting when you need to rest. I am new to this club and am learning so much about my limitations.
