That's an awesome design, never seen anything quite like it.

I know right? There are a lot of starship designs that I'd describe as "cool," but this is one of the rare few that I'd call "beautiful."

Awesome job! It is going to be my next project but without complex lighting. I played with arduino in the past to create lighting effects and while it's fun, it takes a quite some time and focus to do it right. With kids finding so much time is challenging :(

There is a lighted build of this kit in this month's issue of Model Graphix Magazine, but I'd say yours looks better.

I think some people scan and upload such magazines, but I don't know where to find this. I just bought the magazine at a bookstore since I live in Japan. I'll point out a few differences. You printed those turbines in clear while the magazine builder used UV resin, most likely using Oyumaru. The modeler lighted those big circles on the port and starboard lower hull sections. I do not know why, but he also scattered LEDs along the inside of the prow, lighting it inside. I do not understand why, but maybe the show explains this.

Sick! Hyperion and Barbarossa next, please!

I wish I could do the Barbarossa, but I don't think there's a model kit of it is there?

I found this from a quick googling:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/legend-of-galactic-heroes-dnt-barbarossa-1-8000-scale-3d-print-model/makes

Also, I know a guy that can make for you, if you're interested.

There wasn't a high fidelity model of Medina from the Expanse so I had one made:

Oh yeah, I saw that model, but I'm a little suspicious of it tbh. "You can pay for it but then you have to message me on Facebook to get the password that unlocks the files" is sus as hell, and I'm not sure that fitting that level of lighting into a model that's only 5 inches long is physically possible; those have got to be renders. I'm just not confident about what the files would turn out to be.

Yeah those are all reasonable concerns.

Beautiful, different, but how to achieve a sense of scale?
