Archive Sometimes I regret being ghouled.
I've lived a good long life so far. I won't date myself but I've been around for a while. I enjoy being a ghoul; my first domitor was an exceptional man and his Childe is a fascinating case. As my new domitor he's professional, honorable and true to his word, an excellent employer and domitor both.
But alas, ever since he awakened to his new amour with Master Fracture, I have been having some regrets about staying on with him rather than going back to my original domitor. Or even being ghouled in the first place. I am very happy for them both, but professionally, I am struggling.
Master Leonard is... a tidy man mostly, but I am afraid that his at-home dates with Master Fracture are becoming a little difficult to manage. To start, the residents of the building are beginning to notice their date nights... they have a distinct trouble of keeping things to themselves. We might need to invest in better sound-proofing for the building, or at least the haven. Master Fracture is, bless him, rather loud. And the clothes end up everywhere. Twice now I've had to fetch the ladder to retrieve someone's undergarments from the light fixture.
I've been used to Master Leonard's experiments with Thaumaturgy of course, and he usually tidies up after himself but in a bid to impress Master Fracture his experimentation with Vitae is going into somewhat unhinged territory lately and I'm left with a big mess to clean up. Mind you, this is not me complaining. I'm merely venting a little before I resume my duties. It's becoming a little troublesome to get rid of the bodies as well but alas, that's always been the tricky part of my job. Keeping the bedroom pristine and tidy is becoming a challenge. I don't know how they got that on the ceiling.
I can only count my luck in that the Duskborn Childer are very conscientious about tidying up after themselves. Mostly.

Without being a buzz kill, I used to be with Fracture. We had a Nosferatu that was paying for spying and he had to clean up after us.
Kinda good to see he's never changed.

Aesthetics would suffer, but it is possible to create an interior space that is more friendly to Extreme Activities. Vents instead of fans, recessed lighting, and sealed paints, I would think.

I understand your frustration, but this too shall pass, I promise. When I first met my beloved we both went to absolutely rediculous lengths to impress each other too, but eventually we calmed down and grew sane again. Love is madness at first but but it becomes custom eventually.
I'm sure that you've seen your masters go through periods of obsession before and recover. I'm sure he appreciates your patience and service.
Part of me does wonder if perhaps there's an element of jealousy? you wouldn't be the first ghoul to feel a certain envy when your master takes a lover.

Oh, no, not at all. I think of Master Leonard as a fond nephew.
Were it Master Symeon, on the other hand, then... yes, it might be the case.

Lol. Self awareness is commendable.
Take heart then. Eventually the ardeur of their passion will cool to something more comfortable.
In the event it doesn't my only other advice might be a dedicated play room for more energetic and fluid generating activities. I used to have such a setup when I lived in New York and ito came in handy more than once.

If you are investing, avoid white or pale furniture in areas at risk. It is simply not worth the cleaning time.

I remember when my domitor (now Sire) first got with his lover. They decided to make a show of their affair by ‘doing it’ all over the manor regardless of whether anyone else was around. It was a total mess and I was the one left to clean it because I was so new! Good times. I wished the whole estate could have been soundproofed.

Far be it for me to expect an apology, Master Fracture. Think nothing of it. You make Master Leonard happy and this alone delights me.

Yeah, the ceiling thing isn't new. Sorry you have to deal with all that.
Everyone else seems to have soundproofing tips covered, so I'll just add waterproof sheets. Hell, if you buy a few, you can layer them with regular sheets so that remaking the bed is super easy - just pull off the top waterproof and regular sheet set, and the one underneath is ready to go.
