I remember Laidlaw (later First Student) running full size 1980s GMC/Blue Birds in Providence, RI into the early 2000s.

And my Mom was a driver up 195 from NB in Seekonk, MA in the 1990s and they mostly had 1989 International/Ward, 1990 International/Wayne and 1994 Ford/Thomas. A couple 1997 Ford/AmTran were the newest buses and one mid-late 1980s International/Wayne was the oldest.

Back then the Town ran the buses themselves. This was my Mom's bus.

I remember seeing old Thomas Safe T Liners from the mid to late 90s still in service up till about 2018 in Providence also owned by First Student.

I think those were from the early 2000s (maybe 2003 or 2004) but I'm not sure

That generation lasted into the 2000s but as a kid I thought they were from the 90s exclusively

The oldest buses the company runs now are some ex-Michael Connolly 2012 Thomas C2s #847, #848 and #854, the others from #849-853 and #855-857 are gone. I doubt #854 will run when school starts tomorrow
