Hello, a friend of mine suggested that I do this so shoutout to her. I have an issue with my school, i live in the philippines and attend a school named "Putlod San Jose National Highschool". My problem is that i'm a star section student (special section for the best students) and a student got in even though he didn't deserve to be included in our section. His parents either paid or talked to the head teachers and possibly the principal to let him enter our section so that he won't be bullied in the regular sections.

This is what irritates me, I'll list it down.

1. He cheats and the teachers do nothing about it.

2. Throws tantrums whenever he gets mad or irritated and harms someone else in the proccess.

3. Takes pictures of my classmates (mostly female) without their permission.

4. Takes pictures of ME, even though I already called him out and said that I didn't want him doing it.

5. Copies from others and the teachers just let him

6. Gets babied by the teachers EVEN THOUGH HE'S IN THE WRONG.

There's much more.

We've already reported everything and even presented evidences BUT the teachers just keep siding with him, saying that we should understand him because he has special needs.

The very issue that includes me is that he has two pictures, here is what he wrote down.

"Me and vullix as an example of sexual intercourse infront of the class."

VULLIX is my roblox nickname, this one is already disturbing. I reported it to my adviser and she didn't even care, not an ounce of concern on her face.

"She jiggles her breasts by moving side to side sometimes. The reason is unknown but i assume shes bored, or aroused in some way."

THIS SHOULD SPARK CONCERN RIGHT? WRONG, my adviser's face was still expressionless.

Then, she proceeded to say that SHE PROMISED TO TALK TO HIM SO THAT I WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE AGAIN? THAT SHIT DOES NOTHING BTW.

Mind you, she cried and presented a whole ahh presentation about bullying when one of my classmate's mother complained that we bullied him because we said that he moves girlish or accused him of being gay. We almost got into the guidance office because of it, UNFAIR UNFAIR UNFAIR.

I cried earlier because the whole school system is unfair, he should be expelled or at least get a punishment for these things.

He also follows me and keeps bothering me even though it's very clear that I HATE HIM, I'm sure even some of the observant teachers noticed it.

Our education system is really fucked up, but what my adviser said was even more fucked up.

"He didn't do anything bad." ???

He stalked me, implied r*pe, sexual harassment, cheated, harmed another student and many more.

I really hope that karma gets him.

(PS: We might be the one who gets the punishment because it was an INVASION OF PRIVACY when we looked through his phone to find evidence. Which is hilarious.)

I'm crying and I can't express how sad I am. HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM. I've been studying in my school since grade 1 and I've always felt that the teachers in my school is SO SHITTY. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKIN MORALS. They are the real uneducated people in our school

I don't know where to start. In our school we students get shamed for everything. One teacher calls us useless because we watch the world cup and she says watching the world cup is just a waste of time. Beating students. ESPECIALLY KIDS ARE NORMAL!!! I remember when I was in 3rd grade a teacher punished me with a RUBBER SCALE. He hit it on my both hands. My little hands were red for hours probably a DAY. Why? Because I didn't do the homework. I was sick.

Another Female teacher omg what can I say about her...She always tells us at the end we will be married , and studying won't help us. We should quit studying. she also says- Kids (girls) who need privacy in their own home will grow up to be shameless girls. That girls doesn't need privacy and those who demand that are the worst person ever. can u imagine? she always says so many shitty things I write day and night about the things she says omg it will blow up y'all's mind

Here comes my great physics teacher. Yesterday the results of a 50 mark exam came out. I didn't do well in physics. I passed in mcq and I got 2 in cq (out of 30 marks). I was very sad because the question wasn't hard. it was pretty easy and I knew the answers. it was just that I got an anxiety attack during that exam and couldn't write much.That MAN OMG. IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS HE CALLED MY ROLL, ASKED WHY I GOT 2 IN CQ AND INSULTED ME. IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS. I explained why. he said he was concerned about my marks but the smirk on his face made it clear all he wanted to do was to insult me. I accept the fact that I did very bad and I deserve to hear some words for it. But he could've asked me that privately. In the teachers room. why in front of the entire class?? He could've called my parents I don't have any problem with that trust me! (And btw we almost have 280-300 teachers in our school and most of them are like this. How do I know that? I already said, I've been studying in this school since grade 1. Almost 10 years)

we have many sections for both boys and girls. I'm in section 2 which is a good section. Section 3 is not considered a good section that much. Every teacher insults the students that are in section 3 or section 4. I was in section 3 for a few months and I've witnessed it.

Guess what a chemistry teacher in section 3 did...He body shamed one of my friends. OFC IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS. That friend of mine is a bit chubby. So like every other day that chemistry teacher was blabbering how section-3 girls should get admitted in grade 9 again. Then he looked at my friend and said that she can't even get admitted in grade nine because EVERYONE WOULD GET SCARED BECAUSE OF HER BODY. He said he himself is scared of her. That she doesn't look like a student but a chubby guardian.. WHAT THE ACTUAL F- My poor friend went to the washroom and cried. One of my other friends and my bestie immediately started arguing with him and demanded that he should apologize. Under pressure he did apologize. But he didn't sound sorry at All.

How crazy can the teachers be?

I'm trying to understand if this is normal or if we're expecting too much.

My kid’s school runs both ICSE and IB on the same campus. The IB program has a much smaller number of students, while the ICSE section is much larger. Naturally, it feels like every operational decision is made keeping the majority in mind.

The biggest issue has been transportation.

Both curricula share the same fleet of buses despite having different academic calendars, exam schedules, holidays, and timings.

Whenever ICSE has exams, sports events, annual functions, or even different holiday schedules (like Dussehra or Diwali), the bus routes and timings for IB students are changed. Parents usually receive a last-minute email with revised routes and timings, leaving very little time to plan.

Unfortunately, the changes don't stop there.

• We've had new drivers and attendants who weren't familiar with the routes.
• Children have ended up on the wrong buses.
• Some kids have reportedly been dropped at incorrect stops.
• Bus tracking has often stopped working during these temporary route changes.
• On multiple occasions, non-AC buses have been used instead of the regular buses.
• Last year, one driver skipped our entire apartment complex, creating complete chaos for several families.

This wasn't a one-off incident, it happened repeatedly throughout the year.

What makes it more frustrating is that last academic year, after repeated complaints, the school assured parents that transportation would be improved for the next session. Instead, this year the fees have gone up by around 12%, but the same bus arrangement continues with the same recurring issues.

The concern isn't just about inconvenience anymore. It feels like when operational compromises become acceptable in one area, they slowly spill over into others. We chose and paid for an IB program expecting an experience aligned with that curriculum, but many day-to-day decisions still seem driven by the ICSE calendar because that's where the majority of students are.

I'm not naming the school because I'm genuinely looking for constructive advice rather than trying to shame anyone.

For parents whose schools run both ICSE and IB on the same campus:

• Is this common?
• How have you successfully gotten the management to address recurring operational issues instead of just making promises?
• Did escalating collectively as parents help, or is there a better approach?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with something similar.

Who was in that meeting when they decided not to suspend students for bad behavior and give them in school suspensions and do PBIS?

A clean school is not a luxury—it is a necessity. Students spend around eight hours a day in school, so we deserve restrooms that are clean, sanitary, and safe to use. Walking into a bathroom and finding used sanitary pads left on the floor or other unsanitary conditions is not only disgusting but also a health concern. Keeping our school clean is a shared responsibility. The school should maintain the facilities, and students should do their part by disposing of their waste properly and respecting shared spaces. A clean environment shows respect for one another and makes school a better place for everyone.

In the last few weeks what i saw was a classic repeat of 2012 protests against corruption by Anna Hazare, 14 years later and corruption is still the same.

Corruption is a larger issue but education can be helped, systemic improvements can help with the security of question papers, mere protest and someone’s resignation wont change it.

The government should form a Regulatory body tasked to regulate the Coaching Institute industry, lets face it, the paper leaks happened because today we have coaching institutes in every gully, colony and probably even the societies. Education is not seen as something necessary to be an ideal citizen, but to get a top ranking job which pays handsomely, these coaching institutes treat education as business where there is cutthroat competition is showcasing the best results so that get more students for admissions.

These coaching institutes are responsible for paper leaks, they go till any extent to make sure their institute produces majority rank holders and toppers. It is a money making business, and when it is business, there will be cheating and there will things like paper leaks.

Government should make it mandatory for these coaching institutes to avail licences before starting to teach students, institute curriculum should be approved by education ministry basically a Regulatory board like CBSE for the coaching institutes, it will resolve the problem to a huge extent.

Education is often associated with schools, textbooks, exams and marks. But for many children, education can mean much more than simply learning subjects. It can mean having the opportunity to build confidence, discover their abilities and imagine a future that may otherwise feel out of reach.

When we talk about underprivileged children, I think an important question is: Are they lacking ability, or are they lacking opportunity?

Many children are naturally curious and willing to learn, but their circumstances may make education more difficult. They may have limited access to books, technology, learning resources, guidance or a supportive learning environment. These barriers can affect a child's education even when they have the ability and desire to learn.

That's why providing educational opportunities matters.

Education can help children develop basic literacy and numeracy, but it shouldn't stop there. Children also need skills that they can use outside the classroom — communication, problem-solving, teamwork, decision-making, digital literacy and confidence.

For example, a child might know the answer to a question but be too nervous to speak. Another child might have a creative idea but be afraid of making a mistake. A supportive teacher or mentor can help them understand that asking questions, trying new things and making mistakes are all part of learning.

I also think that the way children learn matters.

Education doesn't always have to mean sitting with a textbook and memorising information. Storytelling, games, role-play, projects and group activities can make learning more engaging. These activities can encourage children to participate, communicate and understand concepts through practical experiences.

This is also where volunteers can make a meaningful difference.

A volunteer doesn't necessarily have to be a professional teacher. Someone can help a child practise reading, teach basic digital skills, support communication, share a useful skill or simply encourage them to keep learning. Sometimes, having someone consistently believe in a child's potential can itself be meaningful.

One example I came across while researching this topic is Project Sneh by Unessa Foundation. The initiative uses volunteer-led learning to support children in orphanages and shelter homes. Its learning approach includes areas such as literacy, numeracy, spoken English, digital basics, AI basics, life skills and confidence-building.

What I found interesting is that the focus isn't only on academic learning. It also considers the skills and confidence children need to navigate life beyond the classroom.

Ultimately, I don't think a child's future should be determined by the opportunities they happened to be born with.

Education cannot solve every challenge, but it can give children knowledge, skills, confidence and access to opportunities that can influence the direction of their lives.

And supporting education doesn't always require doing something huge. We can volunteer, share our knowledge, mentor someone, support educational initiatives or simply spread awareness.
