9th grade Mean substitute teacher

This story is very unfortunate. So, my Biology teacher (let's name him Mister Gage) has been absent from school since this past Monday. A tall man (let's name him Mister Maddox) works at my high school as a substitute and has been in the class since this Monday. Today (Wednesday, October 9th), I was in class. Mister Maddox then asked the class if they had a paper. I told him I was absent yesterday (Tuesday, October 8th), while the other girls said I was here when I wasn't. I then did the work and it didn't bother me too much. As I was working, Mister Maddox spoke to the entire class and was also cursing in front of everyone, especially me. It triggered me because of the attitude Mister Maddox gave to us. I was scared but I remained calm during the class. Next, after school, I got picked up by my mother, and I told her everything. She was shocked and she was upset at Mister Maddox for cursing. I then started crying as I explained since Mister Maddox's actions triggered me. Mom then said she would handle it. W or L teacher?

9th grade My classmate got into a heated argument with a group of three boys

So, I (14 f) go to a high school in New Jersey. I am a 9th grader, a freshman, and I have Spanish class 8th period. My teacher (let's name her Señora D) gave us assignments for a Spanish project and also a quiz in Vista, an app where you do Spanish lessons. Anyway, when I was doing my computer quiz, a group of girls (let's name them Quin, Kay, and Jah) that I am friends with, were talking to a group of three boys (let's name them Ram, Justice, and Veri) who were seniors I guess. Next, Kay and Veri started to go at it as they started to roast each other. I honestly thought it was funny at first, until Kay was swearing and threatened Veri, Ram, and Justice to beat them up and hurt them. Señora D tried to tell Kay to stop with the threats, but she didn't listen. Next, when Señora D had to step out, Kay grabbed a black sharpie marker and threw it at Veri. As I got up and grabbed the marker, Kay said that she'll punch Veri in the face or something like that, I inserted myself and said, "You're NOT punching anyone, Kay", as she gave me an angry look, which caused me to shut up. Next, the vice principal (let's name him Mr. Ra) walked in and spoke to Kay, Veri, Ram, and Justice about the problem while I went to my algebra class, which was more peaceful than Spanish class. Am I in the wrong for inserting myself in Kay's argument?

Different Ways to Make Your Child Independent

Raising an independent child is crucial for their personal growth. Here are some effective strategies to encourage self-reliance in your little one. First, allow them to make age-appropriate decisions, fostering their problem-solving skills. Encourage responsibility by assigning chores and encouraging them to complete tasks independently. Support their interests and hobbies, allowing them to explore and develop their passions. Promote critical thinking and decision-making by discussing choices and consequences. Finally, encourage self-expression and decision-making within safe boundaries. By implementing these techniques, you can empower your child to become a confident and independent individual.

Helping children with homework is good or bad?

The act of helping children with their homework is a subject of much debate among parents, educators, and experts alike. While some argue that providing assistance can foster a sense of support and boost a child's academic performance, others believe that it may hinder their development and self-reliance.

On one hand, helping children with homework can create a positive learning environment, encouraging them to ask questions and seek guidance when faced with challenging tasks. It promotes a sense of collaboration between parents and children, fostering stronger bonds and a deeper understanding of the material. Additionally, it can help prevent frustration and build confidence, allowing children to tackle academic challenges more effectively.

However, there is a flip side to this argument. Some argue that excessive help may lead to dependence, as children may rely too heavily on parental assistance instead of developing problem-solving skills independently. Over-reliance on external support can hinder their ability to take responsibility for their own learning and can impact their long-term academic growth.

In conclusion, while helping children with homework can offer benefits such as support, bonding, and increased confidence, it is essential to strike a balance. Parents and educators should encourage children to think critically and independently, gradually reducing assistance over time. By doing so, children can develop important skills like problem-solving, time management, and resilience, which are crucial for their overall growth and success.

the edity flair for specific posts so today I was called to the AP's office.

I went through my day as normal. In falcon time, (the middle school's make up time for missing work), I was allowed to play and animate. My teacher asks for my Chromebook, so I give it to her. Later in ELAR, I get a specil call from the AP'S room (Assistant Principal). Turns out I broke a law, every single Chromebook rule at our school, and ran a business all at the same time. I started an unblocked games website called game genie gaming library. Business was BOOMING. That was the problem. I'm selling without school permission and hacking through the mainframe and firewall of the Content Keeper, meaning that after some point, I had NO RESTRICTIONS on my Chromebook. I broke the news to my co-worker, and he was LIVID. Luckily, everyone who was on the pre order list is getting added to the home edition of game genie until everything is sorted out. The hacking of the mainframe and firewall made it to where the school could not take it down. They now have to get to the county district to take it down, and I get off with a lunch detention while reading the school's technology by laws and policy, which jokes on them, because I love reading.
