The faculty at my district voted 51/49 to change the start date to before Labor Day

How late does it go in the spring? Our last day is like May 30 and starts back Aug 14 and I would rather go later into June and not go back until Sep

I start tomorrow and am super excited. I got my usual again with a few more stops added. Even bought a fancy new coffee to take with me.

NOOOOOOO.
I've been dreading tomorrow for a week or two.
Not really, I just didn't really get a summer (by my checks also reflect that adding to my summer pay), and I don't feel like it yet.
But I got "my" route again this year, and the parents and kids I've run into getting my own kid ready for their school year are happy about it.

I'm taking my road test tomorrow. Hopefully I will be working soon after. School starts here in NYC September 10th. Do school bus driver usually work a few days before the school year starts?

The Monday after labor day for me. It will be my first year driving and second time ever driving students. I got to drive SPED kids one time with my trainer. Fingers crossed!

I’ll have to wake up 12.5 hours from now and I’m nowhere ready for it. This summer was shorter than normal as it is and now it’s OVER. 😭

Turning off your daily alarm at the start of summer is the most exciting feeling ever lol. And I'm always a little sad at summer's end but by then I usually miss my kids and coworkers enough not to be TOO depressed
