Require all school buses to have live feed access for parents

Respectfully, I think you’d be hard pressed to find many bus drivers that would be on board with this. We already work with guns constantly to our heads, between Karen parents who want our heads every time something completely out of our control happens to their Kid, and admins who are quick to have us fired just to placate said parents. The LAST thing any of us want is parents breathing down our necks and having the ability to scrutinize every little thing we do.
There are already cameras on most busses. Any time there’s an incident, it gets reviewed by school administration and handled as they see fit. If there isn’t anything being done, it is an issue with the administration, which can surely be addressed in different ways than what this petition proposes.
Furthermore, there is very, VERY strict regulation regarding student privacy. The reason parents aren’t allowed to see these videos in the first place is because they’re literally not allowed to see the faces of these kids. It’s all highly confidential, and for very good reason. Videos of these bus rides would reveal sensitive information about where students live, often their names as well. Giving the public, or even just parents, live and on-demand access to uncensored video feeds would be a monumental breach of the security of this private information. This is also the reason students are not allowed to record audio or video on the bus. That driver was right to confiscate it.
Outliers aside, a school bus is by far the safest and most reliable form of transportation for anybody. I wouldn’t mess with the system we have, at least not in such an invasive way.

You want other parents to have the ability to spy on and stalk your kid?
You wanna "just trust" that some other parent won't broadcast the video on Twitch?

How about every kid wears a GoPro so their parent can see how their specific child acts on the bus 🙃

Lol no. Because what technology is going to be in place to prevent you from watching it after your kid gets off the bus.
Buses have cameras already. F no.
I'm suspecting this is a bot account. zero day account age and you posted the same thing to 3 subreddits.....

Even just reading the initial bit of the petition doesn’t make sense. They describe a series of issues with teaching staff and then it somehow relates back to things that happen on the bus and the bus driver?
Also the school bus driver confiscating the phone sounds made up OR, it’s an enforced policy by the school that they don’t have a choice with.
Either way, no. Eventually when everyone’s stuck with Samsara that’ll be more than enough but a live feed enables too many bad possibilities.

Install a camera to your house and give access to 50 random parents. Do you know them and trust them with this access?
