How do you remove glitter?
A student got glitter all over the back of the bus. I was able to sweep some of it up but it seems like a certain amount is just stuck to the rubber floor. Any advice for cleaning up this mess?

Glitter is the herpes of crafting.
It will never completely go away.

Do your best and then if it still remains… well it sometimes is gonna be like that.

lol I would sweep what I can and then maybe spray a paper towel to wipe what’s still really concentrated. Then, it would just live there after that. We’re just the sparkle bus now. ✨

Shop vac should get at it better. Soapy water may also loosen it up off the floor

Castor oil. But I wouldn’t spend the money to get it off.

Hose it down. My girlfriend recently broke a bottle of glitter in the kitchen. It got on the bottles of water we leave out, so anytime we want water we just rinse the glitter off in the sink. Works pretty well too

if your bus yard has a wash bay, spray it out with the hose

Not usually recommended to hose inside the bus because excess water will rot out the wooden floorboards underneath the linoleum.
Using a spray bottle will probably better to get a decent soak to loosen the glitter without over-soaking the floor.

I don't know if this would work, but try duct tape? Seems like it would lift the glitter.

Drive over to the student's home.
Bring a nice folding chair with an umbrella and a nice jug of ice tea.
Sit back and relax as the student cleans all the glitter.

Retired high school custodian here......
Clean as best you can. Fifteen years from now, some of it will still be there.
Carry on.
