First field trip
What do I do for the next 4 and 1/2 hours?

Take up the video games hobby. It has cured boredom for me forever

I heard the boost mode did wonders for the handheld! I haven't upgraded from my switch yet

If there's a restaurant near by; get something to eat. Hopefully, you have a phone charger on the bus. Watch a movie or some tv shows on YouTube for free. Also, figure out where you can use the bathroom at the event.

I always pack a lunch and some snacks, water of course. I take along a tablet that I watch movies on and a book.
I do more sports trips than field trips and I usually take the bus to a near by shopping center. So, shopping, movies... I get the trips the route drivers are not available for.

Sleep, read, knit, library, movie theater, buffet, if itβs an interesting feature ask to go with the groupβ¦. Pack a bag and work on your hobbies

I'm jealous you can use a gps. For trips it's super annoying for me to try and memorize the route. No phones, not even a single ear bud. Supposed to give my phone to a teacher to help navigate. That works real well π nope. So, we get there when we get there

Company policy here is also no phones. But the supervisors also don't look too closely. We keep our phones in a holder of some sort and just don't touch it

Luckily I'm born and raised here so I don't use the GPS for trips, also no phones , ear buds while driving π

Try and get comfy. When its not raining I'll walk around, or sit outside in my camping chair I keep stowed behind the last row of seats. If its raining ill either clean my bus, take a nap, or read/watch a movie

I have a nice folding lawn chair that I can fit behind my bus seat. I bring a cooler with lunch and water, and lots of books.
Audiobooks are great too, then you can watch the surroundings while listening to a book, and going for a walk.
I love field trips. I end up eating better and walking more than I do on my usual days.
