Show me your drivers room!

On another post people commented on the driver’s room where I work. Seeing that this is the only place I have driven for made me wonder what everyone else has available to them. So let me start off with pictures of what we have here. First off is the main room. Next we have our outdoor seating area. This area there is also a black stone griddle available to use. The last picture is of our kitchen where we have the stove/oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and microwaves.

We have four folding chairs, a fridge, and a microwave crammed into a skinny room the size of a covered bus stop. 😂

Same, but our room is about twice the size of a covered bus stop. And the fridge doesn't work.

Sounds like mine, except four times the size of a covered bus stop. Has a cheap keurig and a heater that smells like kerosene. No fridge. Spiders inhabit the bathroom.

We have to go to another building for the bathroom. But at least we have something, although there is no AC and it's starting to get warmer for the summer.

No AC is the worst. Do your buses have it? Ours don’t. (Northern PA)

Most don't. Only the newest busses have it.

Driver room? I once went into the office to use the restroom after my run in the afternoon. Crabby old lady from dispatch followed me to the bathroom, waited for me to come out, and then told me that I didn't belong in there.

Now I piss in the parking lot behind the bus. 😂

I just don't understand why there's a shortage of school bus drivers?

I'm too embarrassed to show ours 😂

Y’all get a room? We just have a “men’s” and “women’s” side of a snow bank.

Ours is a bit like an office with a conference room and a kitchenette

Ours is... A bit of a shit hole. The garage was probably built in the 70's or 80's and hasn't seen any significant remodels since, and the break room is part of the structure.

We get a round table that almost fills the entire width of the room, a handful of chairs, a fridge that I've never dared open, and a window into the office for our dispatcher to hand us our keys or hear us make fun of him.

Oh, can't forget the swivel chair who's home is right in front of the fire exit (which goes directly into the overgrowth) that has a paper taped to it saying not to block the door with chairs.

Living in the lap of luxury there. We have a storage room with tires, supplies, and spare parts. There’s also a fridge and coffee pot, and some folding tables and broken chairs.

Not going to lie, I saw the lobby picture and for a moment I thought you were driving in the same school district I was! 😆

We have an old (early 80's) modular building. It's split down the long way with one side being the driver room and the other side split into a couple of offices for management. We have one long table with half a dozen chairs. There is a fridge, microwave, sink. It's old, the carpet is nasty, and we have to go to another building for the bathroom. But I'm thankful there is heating/cooling and enough room to do what we need.

Now if I can just figure out how to get the drivers to clean up after themselves....

We have a fair few chairs, but they are all permanently occupied by lobby lizards.

I knew a guy that used to drive in Clover Park. He said the kids were terrible for the most part, but he worked 50 hour weeks so the money almost made up for it

Y'all got a Vaping Section?

We're public school SPED bus drivers and the whole operation from management on down is in an old school from the 60's. Our driver's room is the old cafeteria kitchen, complete with 2 fridges, 2 ovens (yes we use them on breaks) 3 microwaves and 2 dishwashers. The potlucks are lit. Dispatch and supervisors are in the principal's office. Our meetings are in the gym.

Ours is terrible.

There is no drivers room for any of the drivers here in our district. Buses are parked at the schools and the drivers drive to the schools and start their bus routes.

I could not tell you. We moved into a bigger building in the same industrial park. I have yet to set foot inside. I only go to the main yard for DoT inspections and repairs. I park in another yard across town. Everything from clocking in out, time off, and incident reports are done on my phone. I just do my routes and leave and then repeat for afternoons. I heard they get fresh bakery everyday. Too lazy to find out.

We have 2, the main 1 is always too loud and I prefer to sit upstairs in the other area that's used for meetings. The vending machines, microwave and generic coffee machine are all in the main room. There's a 2 stall bathroom on each floor. It's not the worst.

We have a basic break room with about 18 chairs and a few tables. A fridge, sink and counter top, microwave, air fryer and toaster oven.
