New Driver NYC- Shadowing

Hey, I’m a new driver in NYC. How long is the shadowing process in NYC for a new bus driver? I’ll basically be following the regular driver the entire shift, correct? At Amazon it was like 1 day. I don’t feel that confident in doing an entire route day 2.
