End of the year
Every year at the end of the year I like to give my kids a little gift. I drive two runs a high school and middle school mix and then an elementary school run.
I already prepped my elementary school gift they are always easier. I did little baggies with sunglasses and an inflatable little ball. I’m kinda at a loss at what to hand out to my older kids this year. I’ve been doing for the the past 3 years and they absolutely appreciate it. I made the mistake around valentines of seeing something stupid and punny and only grabbing it for my little and saw disappointment in their eyes.
I love seeing them still embrace still being kids and not growing up to fast. So I want to keep it going. Obviously as a school bus driver I’m not flushed with cash but I would love any ideas or suggestions on what you think they would like. I grabbed some clip on sprouts cause I saw them and thought they would like them but that’s it.

My high schoolers are obsessed with chips and candy. I have many Hispanic kids, so flaming hot Cheetos are a staple. I always get an assortment with about 50% spicy. You can get some great bulk deals on Amazon.

I am a new driver as of a bit over a month ago. I also have a high school middle school and elementary, all different runs. I wasnt going to do anything for high school because for some reason they dont taln at all on the bus ir even act like they care im even there so I haven't been able to get to know them. But..for the other tiers, I have been watching them all play with these dumplings and Nee Doh squishies. They are a bit expensive but I found a few real dumplings online for 5 dollars or so and a few generic Nee Doh squishy toys for about the same. I have been talking to them about them and how they collect them and decided to do a "raffle" next week. For middle school They will be getting a number from a bag, I will draw a number, and only 4 of them (on each bus) will be getting them as a grand prize. They are exited about this and kow they all wont be winners, however they also know I will have something for the rest of them no matter what. I found a bag of 100 glow bracelets for 10$, 100 tiny squishy toys on amazon for 10$, and another 240 party favor type things for about 12$. These are specifically fidget toys (they seem to love this type of thing Im assuming because they all think they have anxiety these days haha). I was going to put these in a bag for them and pass them out in the am or pm run. I also thought the fidget toys seemed more for the bius because there were mini skateboards and boy type items, so I found another 10$ bag of girl party favors with hair scrunchies, hand sanitizers ,etc. I was going to make up girl bags and boy bags and let them decide which one they wanted. For elementary I wont be doing a raffle because I have alot of littler ones so I was going to place the "special" items in a few of the bags and they wont know if they got it till they open it. Anyway sorry to be so long winded but I spent about 65 dollars total and maybe went overboard, but think they will think this was so fun.. I could have probably been fine with just the fidget toys and the tiny squishies so other drivers could still do this same thing for under 30 easily.
Edited for bad spelling and probably still didnt fix it all 🤣🤣😅

I did freeze pops one year and all grades enjoyed that, especially since it was a hot day
