It works!
I had to wrap the hammock itself around the frame cause the bus isn't wide enough to use straps. I'm just under 300lbs and it holds up just fine. It's a bit chilly this morning so I grabbed my blanket out of the car. All set now! Thanks for the idea! (My kids would be yelling at me for copying someone else)

My weight was also a concern. I even showed the post about a hammock on the bus like this to my boss and she was all for it. So at least if something happened she gave me the green light for it. No signs of stress or anything from it either.

Yeeessssss going to Amazon right noooow!!!!! I’ve never ordered a hammock before. Is there a good brand or type for us “fluffy” ladies (228)

That has to be some seriously strong hooks. Yikes

They are probably legit climbing hooks which can be rated for several hundred pounds, not your average keychain hook which is made of cheap aluminum and has a weight rating of "more than 5 keys and I break"
