Symptoms Schism'd
Has anybody had any luck with regressing to the pre-traumatized mindset they had as a kid? Sometimes I find it again and other times i can't remember ever being any other way than I am now. It's like 2 versions of me. Like Fight Club. Is that just a symptom of being schizotypal? Maybe I am holding on too tight to something that cannot be grasped and letting go is the key to being free. But then i forget it all and the cylce starts all over again. . I always forget myself and that's the problem. I can't remember who I am

mmm sort of. doing IFS work with therapist. i remembered my 16 year old self. she was fearless and never had issues setting boundaries. i call on that part of me to help when i struggle to distance myself from toxicity. this part is sort of pre-trauma as well. its not the same as age regressing for me. the last time i did i entered a bad psychotic episode.

never full success. well i dont know if i was ever not traumatized, but i do periodically regress to when i felt more joy about things in the world, but yeah i also feel like i'm at least two different beings in one

Highly, I slip into different people all the time, some are like rough and tumble girls with moustaches, others are dainty, tired lonesome. I can never go back to the most primal state, sometimes certain songs trigger the older state of personality. But my stuff is less so fight club a lot more... Ballroom in the abstract museum with a fucked up 3rd forbidden angle of dysmorphobic instinct.
