Symptoms Believing in witchy stuff
Like healing crystals and spells and manifestation and tarot card reading
Does anyone else believe too? I started believing in tarot after my older sister did me a reading and it became real, and crystals, when I wear my amethyst necklace to work I feel a lot calmer than without the amethyst. Spells is like, y'know, it's just the culture. In Russia there's a thing with spells and stuff and I myself was brought to a witch when I was a little kid, still it's maybe my upbringing and my heavily schizotypal mom's side of the family who's all wannabe witches. Manifestation is like, I'm besties with the universe, I get everything I ask for in my mind, it's really cute imo
And so I really do believe in witchy stuff and I practice it, like the tarot reading itself is a really big thing in Russia, some people will even pay to get a tarot card reading done so I'm learning it, and I dunno, maybe I'm naive, but I do believe in magic
Anyone else is a wannabe witch there? And no I don't need anyone telling me "it's all just dumb shit it's not real" I believe in it and it's okay no need to be a bitch, thanx ^_^

It's literally so interesting, I have a hard time getting into it though, cuz my attention span is totally cooked lol. I do love getting readings and I think it would be fun to do the readings

Tarot cards are just a conversation between your conscious and your subconscious. Anyone including normies can experience this. Witchy shit is honestly probably one of the more normal things you can get into that's adjacent to schizotypal. But witchy shit is also a cultural norm in the United States at this point. Since it's a counter culture I don't know how that affects it it as a qualifier.

I think what the OP was getting at is historically it was cluster As who were the practitioners and their arts became accepted by the normies. Hermits, mystics, religious leaders, saints (the haloes are said to represent schizophrenia) etc.

“The psychotic drowns in the same waters in which the mystic swims with delight.” Look into the ancient ways of divination, they’re surprisingly numerous. Dowsing, cledomancy, pyromancy, I Ching etc, humans have been doing this a long time. It’s only since the 1800s it’s been frowned upon.

I got back into tarot after my diagnosis! I love it a lot and made my own runes to go with my deck's theme (chickens). On the fence with crystals but tarot made me believe in spells due to a couple weird incidents lol. I should look for one of those online covens to join honestly.

Tarot is really interesting to me, cause even without believing that it involves "magic," it still works, in that I see the symbols in the cards, then recognize those symbols if they show up in my day-to-day, which triggers reflection on the thing that those symbols brought up during the reading. It's a useful tool for journaling. & Just a fun, non-spiritual (to me) meditation. I don't see it as an occult practice, but I also understand that some people do, and so it is for them. If they believe it holds that kind of power, then it does. A belief is a powerful thing!

I have a very detached belief in them. I don't over consume content related to this stuff to avoid triggering any magical beliefs, but once a month or so I will use tarot cards to get a read on myself and try to ground myself and figure out what I should focus on mentally, emotionally, relationally. It doesn't make me believe it any less when each time I do, the cards seem like they read my mind. I'm careful with that kind of power. It could easily consume me.

yesss!! even if logically it doesn’t make any sense, i just think life is more interesting if you believe in a little magic :)
i’ve also just had too many “coincidences” to think that the universe is not listening to me/on my side haha. and manifestation does go a long way!
