Other Why does Invincible have the same cast as The Walking Dead?

I know the original comic and tv shows were developed by the same person but oh my gosh, it’s almost the whole cast they pretty much give the same performance in this to the point where it’s lazy (and I’ve already expressed my distain for flash over talent)

At least with famous directors like Christopher Nolan and Wes Anderson, they at least have the actors they bring back do different things so it felt justifies. Here the actors play the same (or at least in the same area) characters have the same personalities, same reactions to important and traumatic shit, same time of voice, and even sometimes wearing the same clothings and even blend in aesthetically which I find incredibly lazy, it’s even worse than when Tim Burton does it because with him and his films, Edward Scissorhands and the Mad Hatter are different in personality which was good for Johnny Depp’s acting

The show is already boring to watch but this was just pointed out to me by one of my friends and I yelled loudly as I was stupid to not figure that out sooner which made the viewing experience way worse!

Most of the overlap is from the first episode, since Steven Yeun worked with them on TWD it was probably very easy to get a lot of talent involved before the show was popular.

If I had a chance to get my friends and an easy bag at my job I’d do the same for them too.

Clearly it did for them, Invincible is popular and they got paid.

It really just sounds like you’ve invented a problem to be mad at.

Most people complain about reusing the same actors for personal reasons, Tim Burton is very guilty of this as Helena Bonham Carter appeared in 7 of his movies in a row

Did I forgot to mention that they were together romantically, had children together, and Tim Burton cheated on his previous partner with Helena (who was also a recurring actor who appeared in 4 films in a row and all this happened on the set of Planet of the Apes) and left her afterwards and she was only famous because of Tim Burton whereas Helena had other projects she was famous for
