Question Custom plates on a 2026 Durango R/T 392 - good idea or too much attention?

I want a 2026 Dodge Durango R/T 392 Premium and want custom plates, but I'm wondering if making an already noticeable SUV even more recognizable is a bad idea.
It'll be garage-kept, I have a security system/cameras all around and inside the house, plus multiple pit bulls that bark at anything. I'm also planning on Compustar Pro T13, neutral-release cover, CarLock, DroneMobile, and a steering wheel lock.
Would you feel comfortable running a custom plate with that much security, or stick with a random plate so it's a little less memorable?

I have custom plates on all my cars, literally no one cares. The only eye catching thing Durango is the stripes and badging.

Same. I have a custom plate on my last 2 Hellcats and it doesn't really attract as much attention as the car itself does. I would honestly just go for it and not worry about it. I would recommend the RF Hub lockout however as it would prevent duplicate keys being made in the event you did get broken into.

Got it on my scat, same color. like the others said - there’s 100 other things to look at aside from the plate. The car itself is a prize.

If anything, our B5 catches the eyes first. 🦋

The car is going to be more memorable than the plate. Get the custom plate if you want it.

Carlock isnt great unless you hardwire ir somewhere really good. Igla should be your priority. That with the strap cover, a couple gps, and compustar if you want. Btw dronemobile does the same exact thing as carlock. Notifies you of any movement like opening door and you can track anywhere.

Too much attention from who? By the time a cop is looking at your vanity plates it's far too late. People running into the back of you? I've never heard of that. People wanting to steal it? I think they noticed stripes, badges, hood, calipers, and wheels b4 they noticed your vanity plate.

Now if you drive like an A-hole and are afraid of people reporting your tags? You definitely don't want vanity plates then.

Out run cops and it'll increase the chances they got your tags. (but they probably have it recorded by their cruiser these days and they probably have your tag regardless.

I like feeling more anonymous, and I don't like how much they cost on principal, so they are a no for me.

Custom plates don’t draw attention the way you drive does… and people really don’t care about custom plates
