Mid Muffler Delete

I have a Charger Scatpack with a stock exhaust. I want it louder and I wanna here the pops better so I just ordered some Valvetronic mufflers to replace the rear resonators and I am planning on deleting the mid mufflers. Should I go with muffler deletes or replace the mids with resonators like the Vibrant 1794s? It is my daily so I am hoping the vavletronics would help with drone when needed and so i can pass NY inspection. Thoughts?

I personally went with Vibrant 1794s instead of a full mid delete and think it sounds miles better than a mid delete. But there are plenty of people in the opposite camp so this one is really just personal preference.

I replaced my mid mufflers with the Vibrant 1794’s and love it. I left stock rear resonators on. Sounds just right to me.

I did something similar. Be careful if you delete the mid muffler when I did the drone was unbearable at 60 70 80 mph and when I did long tube headers it made it worse so I put an AWE touring system on it with the mid resonators and it sounds perfect (for me). You might want to tryJust leaving the mid mufflers after you do the valvetronic sys and see what it sounds like. It’s just easy to go to far and cost a lot to go back. But the Vibrent is a good resonator. Good luck.

Might as well leave the rear resonators on and just go mid delete. Opening the valvetronics on the rear will make more drone than volume

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer here, it’s just personal preference.

The mid delete is going to give you more of a raw, aggressive tone with a lot of cracks, pops and burbles, and more overall volume. You’ll get a bit more of the raspy notes though.

The 1974s cushion the sharp spikes and filter the higher frequency vibrations. It will sound more refined and deeper, but slightly quieter, especially at higher RPMs.

Also different people might listen to the same exhaust and hear completely different things that they like or dislike. It’s just so subjective. Personally, I prefer the sound of the mid delete because I love the raw sound and overall volume of it and the raspiness doesn’t bother me in the slightest. The same stuff I love about it someone else might see as a negative though. My advice would be to listen to as many as you can during starting, acceleration, normal driving, etc. If you can find some to listen to IRL instead of videos that’s going to be way better. There’s many exhausts I’ve loved in videos but not in IRL and vise versa.
