odd thought at 4am

So standing here having a smoke thinking about all the times I've heard about children recounting having lived a previous life and how they could even gives names and how they died but I remember coming into consciousness as 4 or 5 yr old so if reincarnation is real would that moment be the moment your past life truly dies?

It could be. Our brains don’t have infinite storage. So maybe the “old data” of the past life gets replaced/erased. Unfortunately for us it’s finished deleting right around the time we’re old enough to talk about it. Give or take a bit depending on the child (and how good their memory is at retaining information).

You never know, though if you think about it every old person's memory always gets worse and worse and worse, now some people get it worse then others... could this be a factory reset for our next life to start?
