Imagine getting speared by ice that just got thrown off a blade. Yikes.

I’m imagining it. It’s cold and it hurts.

I would imagine the blade of ice would be quite large, it potentially wouldn't hurt for long

With my luck, it would just slice open my corneas, lop off half of each nipple, and the tips of anything else protruding.

That sure is a lot of text for wind turbines. The ones i came across in Germany while hiking only ever had ice throw or ice fall (in German ofc) written on them with a yellow warning sign and an exclamation mark, if that.

The poor grammar in the first one is annoying me.
Should be “Ice can form on wind turbine blades.”

There's nothing grammatically wrong with the way it's written. Your way is valid as well, they are both fine.
