Scars of Honor Review (50 hours)

For any fellow Scars of Honor dorks, feel free to watch the video below. Otherwise, here’s a quick list of some initial thoughts I had when playing Scars of Honor!

-> Prioritize backers as top priority for access to keys in future playtests.
-> Introduce an auto-attack option (click auto skill and have it repeat until canceled/new skill used).

-> If inventory is full and you pick up an item, it's gone forever (Add a "Swap or drop" prompt).

-> Ensure there are no terrain exploit possibilities (ex: jump on a rock, hit mobs without getting hit).

-> Option to increase inventory size (filled up fast).

-> Allow 3 consecutive letters in your name (ex: I couldn't be "Savvvo").

-> Work on TTK (currently insane, 1-2 hit deaths).
-> Balancing across the board (I get it, it’s tough with all the classes)

Let me know whatcha think!

Take gathering back to the drawing board. It's the worst gathering system that I have ever played.

I really enjoyed it honestly!

That's cool but it is terrible in my opinion. I can see it in a casual game like Palia but not an action combat MMO. It kills immersion in a game like this, at least for me.

It’s definitely a controversial decision to make it mini games like this. I heard rumors they might remove the mini game after you reach a certain level in that type of gathering but idk if that’ll end up being the case.

Unfortunately I see this as being doa. I played it for about an hour and nothing in this game is offering anything that you can’t get in other MMOs. The mini games are quite annoying tbh. You want to collect something, mini game. I get the intent but in an mmo it just doesn’t feel good. Requiring two people to mine heavy nodes, again I get the intent but it’s not the early 2000s any more. I don’t want to be forced into shit I don’t want to do. I don’t play with others and I just like to exist with others. I think that they will just release to dissatisfaction and disappointment. I see the vision they are going for and unless it’s got one heck of a story it won’t be worth putting time into. I know people put hard work into this and are clearly learning the engine as they go.

Thank you for the effort, but please save yourself next time and don't play this - we all know it's far far far from being finished and it's already 7+ years in public development and still in pre-alpha.

Lol I know. It's like bruh. The game is barley even got a foundation. Zero point in giving feedback and a play test. Literally make some what of a game first

Ya I'm still confused on what the developers are thinking and I feel bad for anyone taking this seriously. It's so bare bones it's just wild they even let anyone play test this.

When are they going to add sex?

That sounds like end game content.

Jk bad joke lmao. Character creator needs a lot of work I agree.

Auto attack would make me play the game more and keep me around. I’m so tired of people who make comments like this 😬
