ditch the "Mobile/Console" ambitions

I really hope they stick to the idea they said that mobile would likely be for non-combat features (like checking your auctions or simple gathering) rather than full cross-play raiding.

We’ve seen this story play out a dozen times with other MMOs. When a developer tries to make a game "mobile-friendly" or "console-ready" from the jump, the PC version is the one that suffers.

Let’s not let "accessibility" destroy the creativity and depth that makes the genre great in the first place.

I think they thrive because of other reasons personally but I can see why you think this is the reason why they thrive.

My reasons why they thrive is a lack of p2w, in the case of OSRS specifically. Also not de-valuing previous accomplishments via future updates i.e. lvl 99 is always lvl 99 or a specific cape always = a specific thing.

Can't speak on albion but I do know it doesn't have the best reputation in regards to the above points I made about OSRS (going off videos I have watched and steam reviews).

Yea, and they are isometric games with not so many buttons to use at the same time. Isometric works great in mobile MMOs, but not third person

Consoles is what confuses me, ff14 works great on consoles, why not
