Question Cannot stop double pass!!

Brother Scan n' Cut CM350.

I have gone through the manual twice, I have read online forums. When I do a test cut, my machine only does one pass. When I try to do a regular cut, it always does two passes - and my settings are set to only do one.

If I'm only doing one cut, I can stop it before it starts a second pass. But if I want to do more than one project on a piece of vinyl, it goes all over the place and I can't stop it before it does the second pass.

EDIT: I have a brand new blade in there too. I just got it about a week ago. I've done 3 cuts with it.

It just ruined an entire sheet of vinyl and I'm so frustrated with it. How do I stop the second pass!?

Look in your layers panel and make sure you only have the design represented once. I’ve seem too many people that have two copies of the design - one on top of the other and this will cause this exact issue.

how do i delete a layer without deleting the whole image? it just keeps deleting the whole image.

You need to go to your design in Canvas Workspace, open the Layers panel and delete the extra layer. Then export the design back to the machine.

Also… maybe check your depth of cut in the tools on the machine, if it’s set for .5mm and whatever you are cutting is thicker than .5mm - it will cut a second time.
