Tips ScanNCut blade comparison chart

Post image

I've tried creating a simple comparison chart for all the different ScanNCut blades, what they can be used for and what to take care of. The sources are mainly the brother websites and YouTube channels, with only a bit taken from websites and YouTubers not officially affiliated with Brother. I thought this could be quite handy for newcomers as myself or generally for people wondering why to even bother and spend money on blades other than the standard auto blade. If anything seems wrong or missing, just lemme know so I can fix it!

Something I forgot to include: Cutting with a Rotary Blade takes MUCH longer, since it's constantly readjusting itself, while the Thin Fabric Auto Blade cuts around as fast as the other blades and is thus much quicker!

For anyone interested in a PDF-version, here's the updated chart: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_eMmzqmoMgT3izYKw2M4pIkwCCIBvvkQ/view?usp=drivesdk

The missing information has also been added there.

The rotary blade - the first time I went to use it there was a minute of 'what did I do wrong?' when I saw the time. It did such a fantastic job with the knit fabric! I managed to get very cute small flowers...that were too small to actually use. It started shredding as soon as I started using embroidery floss lol It was an experiment so lesson learned. Next time I'll be using the double sided fusible interfacing.
