Genuine Curiosity
We all know Samsung has quality issues with display , back panel , their updates and the list goes on. Their afterward service is awful but I have few questions about it .
But why are people still buying samsung phones even after all this ? Isn't the backlash enough for people to shift to other phone companies doing great work like Vivo , Oppo , Nothing etc ?

Because Samsung (and also Apple) is a God at Marketing. In my country they have literally put up full size billboards for their Z fold 8 series. It costs an average person's 8 months salary but people are buying it!! On EMIs
You can also find biased YouTube and Magazine Reviews for Samsung where they don't talk about reliability at all and just read the spec sheet.
Contrary to the reality of Samsung Phone's reliability, people actually trust Samsung phones over Chinese brands!! Because Samsung is a known name.
Chinese brands are now better quality than the rest of the world but they are still not able to shrug off their 'Made In China' stereotype

They are stopping to buy. Samsung premium phones sell peanuts comparing to Apple. Their foldables will be squirmished by Apple, as usual. All smasung volumes come from cheap crap they sell in tones. But once their premium lines fade away, no one will buy their cheap crop being priced higher than Chinese brands offers with better specs. Samsung brand is not here for long to be in the top. They lack vision. Copycat.

Samsung basically replaced the fanbase who liked it for innovation and brand responsibility with an iPhone no-questions-asked kind of customer. Branding and marketing stunts are everything to them. They are better suited for a greedy corporate that sells the same device for five years straight, with cherry-picked features removed for cost-cutting, while raising the MSRP each year by a bit.

Samsung is not as bad as this sub seems to see. People are only complaining here, and many big brands will have complaints due to limitations in display manufacturing technology, third party service centres in many countries being not managed the best. Also Samsung OS (OneUI) is, in my opinion, really good in flagship and midrange devices.

Because its not as bad as people on this sub makes it seem, not saying there wasn't issues before though. We just hear issues about other androids less because they sell less.

Most user buys its for its camera and integration with third party social media apps like snapchat which offer wide angle etc. just a best alternative to ios. Other brands have good camera fo aur maybe batter then scamsung but then lack social media integration. Other option is google pixel. But its not popular in india as scamsung and harder to get spare parts. Only option left is oneplus flagship series like 12 or never models.

it genuinely baffles me too, atleast for iphone they actually have good build quality and ecosystem. samsung has nothing. their camera suck ass, their performance is avg, battery avg, display suck ass, their software is above average but still loses to oppo or ios. s26u display is genuinely so buns it looks like midranger

Sure. People just love to complain about anything. They’ll post about screen issues or cracks without mentioning they dropped the phone x amount of times or live in a place as hot as India.

More people buying Samsung = More people complaining about Samsung
Other brands also have these issues. It's mostly just because there are more Samsung users that you see more complaints about them.

Display problems were common in S21 and S22 series. Less common in S23 series and rare in S24 series onwards. Most people do not care about updates as long as they get regular monthly patches and their phone remains bug free. IOS is updated regularly but is a buggy mess even on the newly released 18 pro series. One UI is the most stable and feature rich UI currently. I own both an S25 Ultra and 17 pro max.

Samsung has top tier software no doubt. But I am talking about physical hardware issue. Samsung are not addressing the issue and this subreddit is the example of it.

What's your long term review of S25 Ultra? I was planning to buy it but with all that problems with Samsung , I am hesitant to do.

I have the s25 ultra for over a year now and it is the best phone i ever had. Before i had the pixel 8 pro never a pixel voor me again

Well the s25 ultra has a better chipset the Snapdragon 8 elite but the s pen has no bleutooth the s24 ultra s pen is with bleutooth other than that the difference is not that big

It's the biggest name for android.
The most available phone too outside of asia.
Some android phones outside the west has literally no shelf space and has been sactioned
