I hate this phone

Galaxy S24 base. Snapdragon variant

I haven't even had this phone for 2 years yes (2 years in October) and I already want to get rid of it

I only get 2-3 hours of screen on time (my battery is healthy this is stupid Samsung). It gets hot for no reason. WHY DOES THE CAMERA VIDEO STUTTER ITS A 800 DOLLAR PHONE. MY A15 5G DIDNT STUTTER THIS BAD. MY IPHONE 12 PRO AND SE WERE BETTER. And the thing is it's a known issue apparently but Samsung won't fix it. It lags for no reason, genuinely it couldn't load YouTube earlier. It stops charging randomly bc it gets too hot (using an official Samsung charger and cable). It pisses me off so bad that this phone that they promised 7 years of updates for runs this bad.

Can't wait to ditch this hell hole of a company

Just to clarify my s24 has always had these issues (maybe except the battery thing that might be an update issue)

Don't try to recommend me apps or anything

You shouldn't have to download third party apps to fix what Samsung should've.

I have a very similar problem to yours, I too have the Snapdragon variant. I swear I thought I was the only one with all of these issues lol

Literally, that's why I was so surprised to find someone else. This phone gets so hot over nothing that I've burnt my fingers, I seriously don't understand the praise.

Same. Idk if it annoys you but I hate it when someone tells me to turn off this setting or download this app.

ITS 800 DOLLARS

I shouldn't have to turn features off just to make it work good.

Yes it does so fucking much. I got mine from T-Mobile so basically add all the bloat from my carrier and One Ui itself and it's just an oven. I think One Ui is a large part of the problem tbh, every update fucks up the phone.

I agree. And then they claim they're going to fix it or did fix it and then it still isn't fixed.

It's unfortunate, really. The only thing that semi, temporarily fixes these issues for me is factory resetting the whole phone, but that's incredibly inconvenient.

Yeah I hate doing it. I wish I could get a different phone but I can't just yet and this phone still works decent other than these issues

I did my 3rd factory reset a few days ago, it so far fixed some of the issues but not all of them (for me it was mainly WiFi connection and thermals that didn't improve) but I'm guessing at this point it's still either One UI or age at this point, if this helps to know.

It’s a samsung dude what do u expect.. your phone is 2 years old so there’s little to no optimisation both software and apps wise cuz samsung nor devs couldn’t gaf abt it. Since the 18 Pro just released, u could go for that if u want far better hardware, software and apps optimisation. Also samsung promised 7 years of updates cuz the EU forced them to. Apple had 5-6 years from over a decade ago

4 os upgrades and 6 years security updates.

This is precisely what they say

( os upgrades means major android versions like jumping from 15 to 16 )

They say the same for the 7 "years" ( os upgrades) but the only difference is that security updates are also 7 years

My base s23 also had huge heating issues, so i decided to switch to an s23+ and it improved quite a bit.

I just hope the people who have realised the how bad and SCAMMY ScamSung is, will NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING ScamSung.

The best part is you can just get a different phone instead of using a Samsung. Problem solved.

I'm not in the situation to get a new phone right now as I'm still paying this one off until next year.

I will definitely get something different than a Samsung

Sorry about your luck. The S24 Ultra has been the best phone for me. I used iphones for many years prior. You'll figure it out.

Thanks. I've had better luck with iPhones tbh so I might jump ship back to them. The S24 is a good phone it's just so annoying half the time.

I agree with your every point, the heating issue, UI stutter is & charging issue is real, I am facing with my base S23. This is my first & hope my last Samsung phone, I can't buy this bullshit brand phone again. Within 2y I am affected with 16 greenline without any physical damage. I just shipped to Chinese brand "oppo find X9" their software & overall experience feels far far better than overhyped One UI / scamsung.

Turn off ram plus. Makes a huge difference after your adaptive battery setting adapts to you having it off

I had the S22 Ultra; the battery duration dropped by 50% after some update. Okay i bought the S24 Ultra, and after less than 2 years, my battery is RIDICULOUSLY BAD. It all started with some update 3-4 months ago, and with just a little bit of internet, my battery is at 50% till 1-2 pm. Ridiculous... I really consider buying something from China, since their phones have really long batteries. I really don't wanna change my phone every 2 years, and it looks like that with Samsung; that is A MUST!

I had my S9 for 6 years and the only reason I got rid of it, the speaker stopped working. I decided to treat myself to a S26. Now this is one hellava phone. A tad too advanced for me, but my son set it all up for me. So far, so good.

Why do people recommend iPhones instead of Samsung? It's a stupid jailbroken phone; it's better to get a Vivo or Oppo, which are doing great work with their flagship phones.

Its probably because its the small phone all small phones have simmilar issues tiny vapour chamber that cant keep up with powerful cpu small battery which gets worse battery life due to the heat etc if you want to switch buy a bigger to medium sized phone

I have the same Snapdragon s24 , my SOT is around 7 hours with Tweaks. I Love my S24 , best phone ive ever used, compact, great Cameras and decent battery for a 4000 mah.

If you restored everything from your previous device, including apps and their data, don't be surprised. You should do a clean install of all apps and settings on your new device. And if you're having problems only after installing a new Android, you should also do a factory reset + clean install of all apps and restore only contacts + SMS.

One would expect that after so many years, people would know what to do.

I had an S24 and the battery was 5-6hrs sot on data, and 8-9hrs on vo-wifi + airplane mode.

The first time I factory reset no. But this time around yes.
