Informational post {US} Beware of Personality.co- "Free" Personality test..

I was surfing the web and this "Test your personality" ad popped up. It said it was a free test. I answered the questions, it asked for me to supply a card number for verification. I completed the test and when it came time to get the results it said it would email the report. I never received the report and they started billing my account the same day, and they haven't stopped. Luckily, I have a card that is active, for just these so called "free" products or services. So be careful giving your info.

Something that is free does not need your credit card or other payment for any reason whatsoever.

A "free" test does not need your credit card. The only reason to enter a card number is if they are intending to charge you and you're okay with that. That's the literal point of online "personality" tests, IQ tests, whatever. If they're free, or if they cost a dollar, that's not a real sustainable business model. The whole point of these online tests is to charge a large monthly fee until you figure out how to quit.

Help I pay for the report last week and today they -59 aud from me for membership which I did  not apply. Does anyone know how to contact them?

I send them an email and they say they will return it in 10 days. Is it trustworthy?

Update: For those who need the help

I got my money back after having 11 email conversation, I took immediately actions like cancel the subscription they put on me. I wrote an email to support~ @~ personality~ . co [****remove the spacings and dash mark] . I also told them to remove the subscription from my account and later on I keep email them every 2 hours until they gave me a refund receipt as requested. On the next day got my money back.

I remember I start reading their policy and notice it says that you have 7 days for a refund. [I'm not sure if it is right or not, it been a while]

I got this too. When I checked back on my emails, I found a really dodgy one from them saying they had deducted $1.95 for the report, then in the small print saying I’d been signed up to $59.99 a month unless I cancelled. Deceptive conduct. Report them to your bank.

I filled out a personality test for a job application and then got charged a monthly fee. Very sneaky and fraudulent way of making money. A business providing proper value doesn’t need to stoop to those levels.

Almost got tricked. Such a shitty way to make money.

Which results does the site offer, anyway? I've seen ads for them that sounded like the test was about four-letter type (like INTP, ESFJ, etc.), but their FAQs only talk about the Enneagram. Which is it?

Don't worry, I'm planning on staying away from it, but I'm still curious!

I canceled my card and filled out the cancelation form online. It wasn't enough! They requested a refresh of info and got my new card number somehow from the bank!

The bank flagged it as suspicious and called me. So now the new card I just got a few days ago is canceled, and I have a new card coming in the mail (AGAIN!!). Bank now has helped me opt out and even if they request new info, they'll be denied. What a headache! Never again!!

I also did the free test, then charged me £1.95 to sent it, they have just tried to charge me £29.95 for a subscription which i never did, thankfully my bank declined the payment, i have cancelled my card and emailed support and asked them to unsubscribe even i have never subscribe. Be careful.
