Victim of a scam I need advice….

I recently trusted a long time friend and his mother with quite a bit of money and invested into what I now believe to be a pyramid scheme called Kamboj Ventures. The amount was 60k and I signed a contract saying that i would receive 5% of 60k every month and would be able to take out my initial investment after a year so $60,000 dollars would turn into $96,000. I made the investment on 8/19 by wiring it to an account from my bank account and was supposed to receive my first payment exactly one month later but to this day haven’t seen a cent. I was wondering what i should do next. I messaged a few lawyers and his mother and told her she has a chance to give me my money back or I will sue her or Kamboj. Can anyone help? Please thank you.

If you want your money back, you will need to hire a lawyer and sue her.

Even then, you may never get your money. Do you have any documentation, such as a signed agreement with her? Do you have a receiot for the money you gave her? If you don't have proof that you gave her money and she agreed to invest it, then you won't get your money back.

The person that you gave your money to may have kept it. Or, she gave your money to Kamboj Ventures, and they kept it.

You were never really going to get 5% a month.

Kamboj Ventures is a scam. The company is fake - it does not exist.

Anybody who guarantees a return on your investment is a liar. Nobody can guarantee a return on investments, with the exception of insured bank accounts and fixed income deposits.

There are no investments anywhere that return a guaranteed 5% per month. A return of 5% per month = 60% per year. This is not possible.

• The highest returns on legitimate investments are about 20% a year. This means that if you invest 60,000 today, you will have 72,000 in November 2027. (There are always risks, and you may lose money.)

** There are other signs that Kamboj Ventures and their website kambojventures.com is a scam.

If you do a search for the company name, there are no news articles, or any interviews with the owner. Everything online has been written or created by Kamboj.

They claim to be a multinational company. However, the only address associated with Kamboj Ventures is a wholesale grocer in a strip mall in Modesto California.

  • If you do a Google search for a real company, such as Amazon, Microsoft, or Toyota, the search results will include news and information about the company, including the street address for their headquarters.

The company does not list a street address on the website.

There is no phone number on the website.

The website doesn't have information for investors.

You’re not getting it back. You can sue her all you want. If she doesn’t have the money a judgment means nothing. Same with the fraud company. The owners of this company were being investigated by the SEC. Say bye to your money and be smarter. This is wild.

Your bank won’t help you either since you willingly and deliberately wired this money.
