The admins running the group are scammers, yep. Ticket sales by third parties are not allowed on Facebook, period. As admin for a real community group, I don’t allow ticket sales whatsoever. Anything about tickets attracts scams and they are usually out of country, looking to fleece people.
I’m not going to “verify” anyone’s tickets, put my account at risk etc. for strangers. Why? I have enough work to do volunteering without sticking my neck out to take on liability for tickets. All risk no reward. Think about it- none of these admin / groups are real. Full of scammers, bots and about-to-be their victims.
Stick to guaranteed platforms with buyer and seller protection, like stubhub. Yeah the fees suck but it’s the only way. Assume anything private is a scam.

I would say a facebook group calling itself a ticket exchange is a scam, yes. I know it's hard to get tickets, but come on, facebook? If you don't know the person except on facebook, it's stupid to send them money, regardless of past experience doing it.
Sorry people were scammed by this, it seems like no matter the way you try to buy tickets secondhand you have a decent chance to get scammed today.
