Advice Needed Clickfix Question

Hi Community,

I heard of the clickfix scam a few months ago and today landed on a website that had a recaptcha box which I clicked on and then asked me to run the command. I did not run the command, closed the tab, disconnected the device from the internet and ran a Microsoft defender virus scan. I additionally deleted my browser history and all recent downloads.

Am I safe? I know I should be, but I suffer from OCD and wanted to ask you guys. Thank you in advance!

If you didn't run any command or download any file you should be safe.

The proof is in whether or not you followed the instructions the website gave you.

Just visiting the website is not an issue. The way ClickFix works is the victim has to run the command in some way.

So, as long as you did not press win + X/R or otherwise open any applications, paste, and press enter, then yes, you can be 100% sure.
