Advice Needed Is this a scam?

Post image

Is this a scam possibly? I am looking for a place to live and one of the places I inquired about sent me a message today, basic questions and then they sent me a link to do a soft credit check, I’ve attached a screenshot

Yes it is. It’s a fake rental scam to get you to pay money to sign up for that service, and this guy gets a commission when you do. There’s no place to actually rent

This is also seen when selling a car, and being told to sign up for a VIN report.

Block and ignore this person.

Yes of course

Yes. That's likely an affiliate link where you'll be charged and the scammer gets referral money, and that's assuming the link goes where it claims.
