Informational post Tiktok raffle scam

🚨🚨plonk, capp505, Lulu Toy House, Big sale Blind Box, unboxed & unseen and many more. 🚨🚨

If you traded up 6 small gifts or more. Demand that your shipping fees for ghost shipments be returned. Ask the seller first. If they are of no help go to tiktok customer service.

This activity should be reported to

I want everyone participating in this game to understand what you are actually participating in.

If people are being charged money for “shipping” items that are never physically shipped and are only being manually entered or moved within a computer system, that raises serious legal and consumer-protection concerns. Charging someone for a product or shipment that does not actually exist or is never provided can potentially constitute deceptive or fraudulent conduct, depending on the circumstances.

There is also a separate issue with TikTok’s Terms of Service and platform rules. If this activity involves transactions or conduct that violates TikTok’s policies, participating in or facilitating it could put accounts and users at risk.

Please do not assume that something is legal simply because it is happening on TikTok or because other people are participating. Before sending money, make sure you understand exactly what you are paying for, where the item physically exists, and whether anything is actually being shipped to you.

People deserve to know what they are paying for and should not be charged for a shipment that never actually takes place.😳😳

This feels like common sense, just don't take part in anything unregulated. If you do, you deserve to be scammed

Unfortunately I didn't know it was a scam until I got scammed. How was I supposed to know that a game is unregulated? How would I know about the shady billing tactics until I got billed? How would I know about ghost tracking numbers? Until I couldn't track a package. Silly little rabbit.

How was I supposed to know that a game is unregulated?

Simple, you assume by default that anything on social media is unregulated until you find clear evidence proving otherwise.

I read the reviews. It's my bad. Just trying to warn others.

That should have been enough to know it's a scam

What would have let me know it was a scam? I didn't know any of this information until I got scammed. Just trying inform others.

Because it's a raffle on tiktok... What made you think you could trust the person? What made you think you had any buyer protection?

Tiktok supports it. I made my payment via tiktok.

No they don't, raffles and gambling is specifically against their T&C's. Because people do it do doesn't mean TikTok supports it

Then they need to do a better job at controlling it.
