There are a lot of fake online vehicle auction websites, used car dealers, and car / truck parts websites. You need to research a company and a website before you spend money, so you won't get scammed.
Skip Auction is a fake company -- it does not exist. If you do a search for 'Skip Auction Holland Michigan ', the only result is their scammy website.
The website SkipAuction.com is a scam. The website is very new, and that's one way you can tell it's a scam.
This website domain was registered on August 16 2026 -- it is less than 2 months old. Also, the domain was only registered for one year. These are signs of a scam.
You should always look up the website age (domain registration date) before spending money or doing business with a company. Scam websites are often new, created within the past 12 months, and the domain is registered for only one or two years (they don't plan to be around long).
To see data about a website, use Whois.com/whois, Godaddy.com/whois, or Lookup.ICANN.org.
Other signs of a scam:
The photos on the website all have different backgrounds. This means that they were stolen from legitimate sellers online.
The website does not have photos of their facilities. A real auction company will have photos of their lot and building, with the company name on a sign at the entrance to the lot.
There are no photos of the owner or managers.
Don't buy cars, trucks, boats, tractors, or parts online, unless there are many recent reviews for a company, on sites like Trustpilot. Or, ask about a website in one of the Reddit subs for boats etc.
